Bishop Connolly Theatre Company Brings “The Silver Whistle” to the Stage This Weekend

The Bishop Connolly Theatre Company takes a rollicking splash in the fountain of youth when it brings The Silver Whistle to the stage on December 7, 8 and 9. Bored, uninspired and lonely, the inhabitants of a home for the elderly pass the days in dreary depression and, in their own words, “just sit around waiting to die.” In this hilarious comedy, lives are turned upside down and changed forever when a charismatic tramp with a false identity disguises himself and gives the old people a reason for hope and happiness, convincing the residents that “you are only as old as you feel.”

Under the direction of Bishop Connolly theatre arts teacher Leslie Ann Steeves, The Silver Whistle will be staged in the Bishop Connolly High School Theatre located at 373 Elsbree Street in Fall River and will run for four performances: Friday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, December 8 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, December 9 at 3 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and will be sold at the door for all shows.
