Bishop Connolly Students Receive CPR and AED Training
On December 10th and 11th, Bishop Connolly freshman, L.E.A.P. and sophomore students took part in a CPR and AED certification course offered at the school by the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association. Under the direction of Association cofounder and lead instructor Bob Schriever, students practiced the skills needed to perform CPR and to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). The students also received training in using the Heimlich maneuver to provide aid in a choking emergency. BCHS has held similar trainings each fall since 2013 to ensure that all Connolly students have the knowledge and skills to deliver lifesaving emergency aid.
