Freshman Day begins and ends in success for Class of 2011 !!!
Tuesday, August 28, 2007 –a day that will live forever in the memory of the Bishop Connolly Class of 2011! While student council members offered greetings and assistance to new students, the Class of 2011 assembled in St. Pius X Chapel for their first day orientation.

President Robert P. Morissette welcomed members of the freshman class to the Home of the Cougars, reminding students that the school acts as a family unit with everyone pitching in to ensure success. Morissette emphasized the rule of respect that each student should follow: respect for oneself, respect for others, and respect for our surroundings. Additional greetings –and words of wisdom- were offered by Principal Michael Scanlan followed by Dean of Students Justin Shay, Guidance Director Donna Fiori and Campus Minister, Deacon Anthony Cipriano.

The Bishop Connolly Student Council conducted ice breaker events to include a scavenger hunt, mastery of locker combinations and other first day activities which concluded in a lunchtime pizza fest. With stomachs full and hunger sated, the Class of 2011 moved into a run-through of academic classes successfully completing the school day.

Regular classes for all students take place Tuesday, September 6th
