Bishop
Connolly’s curriculum focuses on preparing students
for college education and life-long learning. By challenging
students’ hearts, minds and spirits, Connolly prepares
leaders for today and tomorrow who have a commitment to
intellectual integrity, compassionate Christian service,
and social justice.
While
it is important in providing a quality education to have
highly qualified instructors, a rigorous curriculum, and
clear methods to determine that learning by students has
taken place, it is equally important that each student develops
moral values, a commitment to his or her community, and
an informed sense of direction in his or her life.
A Connolly
education prepares students for life, encouraging them to
think for themselves, and to make their own decisions in
their personal, religious, social, and business lives. We
are also training men and women for others; people who will
use all of their talents and energies for others.
We
prepare our students for academically challenging futures.
Extensive honors and advanced placement offerings encourage
students to develop special talents, deepen their knowledge,
and prepare for selective schools.
Students
develop a solid academic foundation in English, math, science,
social studies, world languages, computers, physical education/health
and the fine arts. They also create, explore, research,
and investigate in innovative ways that reach across subject
boundaries.
Average
class size is 22 to 25 students. Honors sections average
15 to 18 students, while advanced placement courses tend
to number 8 students or less.
